Try setting the RAM disk size so that exactly 4 mb is available for the system.
You have one of those cards that's DMA compatible only in the first four rows
of memory chips looks like.

All expansion slots are DMA compatible so this isnot a worry. The only thing
different about slot 7 is that it has part of the video signal available. At
least that's so in older II's.
