Finder polling of PCT drives

  has anyone figured out how to stop the endless polling of PCT drives
in the Finder?  yes, i know i can use PCT Swap to stop the polling, but
this also makes the Finder not see the drive at all.  with the MS-DOS
FST in 6.0.1 it would be nice to be able to put a DOS disk in a
3.5 Transdrive and read it from the Finder, but the polling is
unbearable.
