HP Deskjet printer capabilities as seen by an Apple II owner.

#1 Epson Emulation cartridges are peculiar to the model of printer.
They don't interchange.  The emulation card adds some font and graphics
capabilities.  Timeout's Superfonts work with this card.  You have to turn
the printer off to remove (disable) the card in order to use the printer as
a Deskjet.
 
#2 These are 20 envelope feeders that feed in 90 degrees to the normal
way.  In other words, you use landscape mode to print on them. The 100 page
paper feeder might have started around this time.
 
The HP 310 is a portable.  The unannounced HP 510 is _______?
 
It would be nice for us if HP produced an Epson Emulation card for the 550C.
As long as I am wishing, I would also like to see single color cartridges.
 
If someone could expand on this information with driver capabilities, this
information may be suitable for the FAQ file.
