GS Fax Software...?

I was wondering if anyone might have some current information on the 
status of the GS Fax software development?

I am considering the purchase of a USRobotics Sportster high speed modem 
with fax capabilities, however I would like to know if anyone has a 
handle on the GS fax software development at this time?
