I'm baaaaaaaaaack!
 Yes... Donny of GyruS is back online (wowee!) ;)

I apologize to anyone who tried to send me mail over the Christmas
holidays... my uni. account doesn't last through the holz..... sigh!

Urm... yeah... Newz from GyruS HQ :   As we've all found much more
interesting things to do over the last 4 years or so, we haven't really
been contributing greatly to the GS..... sorry!  We did do a lot of work
on graphics, sound, and code a few years ago as we were writing a mega
game and mega demo, but unfortunately these were never released. 
Therefore, what we are left with is megs of unused code, graphics,
sound & music.

We have not totally abandoned the gs... we may release some completed
software sometime, but we have no solid plans of doing so.

Do not despair!  We have a cunning plan!  Rob recently posted me a
couple of disks of various programs and codes he had written, intending
for me to release them sometime.  The most clever bit of coding he sent,
in my opinion, is a 3-D Starfield that you can fly though both forwards
and backwards, move left, right, up, down, pan left, right, up, down and
even get the stars to perform X,Y and Z rotations !! (Which looks
_really_ cool)   Everything apart from the rotations are speed
adjustable by pressing a number from 1-9 .... and he even included an
easily-modified program that will let you program an automatic run
through the starfield.

If people are interested in this (or any other GyruS product...
including soundsmith music, graphics, ideas).... please leave a public
message here in comp.sys.apple2   I will get about releasing the 3-D
Starfield as soon as I finish editing Rob's documentation (which will be 
pretty short).    Have fun!  Talk to ya all soon......
