This happened to me (ahem, to my IIGS) once. I fortunately could save
my partitions by running Mr. Fixit which is part of ProSel-8. I had to choose
"main directory repair".
If I remember correctly block 0 of all my partitions were corrupt. So before
using Mr. Fixit launch a block editor (like Block Warden) and look at these
blocks. You can use your boot partition as reference. I think blocks 0 and 1
of all partitions should be the same. Be careful not to overwrite blocks 2-6
of any partition. These blocks contain the main directory.
