Connecting Apple IIc & IIe to a FileServer
At my sons elementary school, they have several Apple IIc, Apple IIe, Apple
IIgs, and Macs. Each machine are standalone in that they are not connected
to any lan. Because they are not connected together, they have to make
UPteen copies of what ever program they are teaching for the week (and in
some cases they have to make a copy for each child).
They also have 2 very stripped down IBM PS/2 (8086, 1 meg, MGA) that each
have a 200 meg hard drive.
So here is what I was wondering was:
Is there a way of connecting the Apples upto some kind of LAN
(appletalk, ethernet, via serial cards) using the 2 IBM PS/2s as the file
servers. This way they could have just a boot disk for each apple and then
access all their programs via the lan. Keepping in mind that they have a
very limitted budget, what options are there for networking Apples together.
