II+ help needed; grafstar card?

I acquired an Apple II+ and have no experience with anything Apple.
What I need to know is how to get started.  What are some good books to get
to learn the II+ way?  It cam with a disk drive and one disk.  I get a
system prompt ( ][ ) but don't know where to go from there.

It also has a GRAFSTAR card in it with a ~30 pin connector.  What is this?

How can I use my IBM compat. to gather binaries for this II+, get them on
the apple disk and use them??

Is there a way to use an IBM style CGA monitor [RGB w/ 9 pins] with it?
