Yeah, I know what you mean. I have a Disk ][ that does the same thing.
Since I only have one of them, I don't know whether it'll give the same
symptoms yours did as drive 2.
After I get finished fixing it, maybe I can help you fix yours, too.
(Hope you don't mind voiding the warranty!! :) )
I think it may be a problem with either the controller card, or one of
the ICs on the Analog board (inside the drive, the really big one).
