The Mountain Computer Clock card was one of the first (and best) real-time
clocks (IMNSHO), because it gave you the time down to millisecond resolution.
Many of the later real-time clocks only resolve to whole seconds, making them
useless for most kinds of real-time control applications.
The Mountain Computer Clock card was an extended length card, with lots of
(I think) CMOS chips on it (I guess it was made before VLSI clock chips were
available/popular/whatever). It had a 9V battery on the back of the board,
with (I think) a charger that you could plug in to keep it charged.
