Purchase/Compatibility

I am planning on purchasing a few new toys for my GS and I wanted to pass it
along in hopes of getting any compatibility/recommendations I could.  I plan on
buying:
 
        LaCie Tsunami 170MB ext HD
        RamFAST SCSI
 
I am buying these by Friday (4 Feb).  I have received several good comments on
the drive and I am really happy with these choices.  I DO want to know what is
recommended for the RamFAsT.  Not positive but I thought I have seen 256K - 1
MB cache available as an option.  I wanted to know if the difference is REALLY
worth the money.  Maybe someone would like to share a 'you really only need
...' story with me :)
 
I will be buying a ram card next month and I was looking at the sequential
systems 4 MB card.  I am looking for any great buys or compatibility problems
that I want to say away from.  I really would prefer a battery backed ram but
if its gonna cost me too much I will just have to load up my ram manually.
 
I think I have seen an ad for the ram card for about $199.  The only drawback I
have seen so far is I have to order all these things from different companies
which means I don't get the SCSI for a little discount (when ordered with the
drive).

first is probably better so others don't get annoyed with my happy momemts of
