I don't have the charter for csa2 (just the four new subgroups that
were created last spring), but you can look on ftp.uu.net for past
newsgroup RFD's. In any case, I don't think it says anything about
commercial postings. That used to be net-wide taboo. Notice I say
"used to be", because the Internet is being commercialized the way
Christmas is.

Then raise your concerns during the csa2.ssii RFD if Joe decides to
proceed with it. Nobody's forcing you to vote for the proposal.

We've been through all this before, but comp.sys.apple2.unix is a
little too misleading. GNO is "UNIX-like", not "UNIX". This is as
close to UNIX as the GS has even been, but I don't think any
knowledgeable user would mistake GNO for real UNIX. The group was
rightly named comp.sys.apple2.gno.
