A couple of things to add:

1: In order for a Prodos program (ie: Proterm) to recognize your floptical
   be sure to insert a floptical disk in your drive while you boot your IIgs.
   I don't know why this is so but that's just the way it behaves.

2: Tulins drivers are not the freeware version by Richard Bennet. They are
   commercial drivers by Tulin.

3: I tested Richard Bennett's freeware version and it seems to work with my
   hardware configuration.

P.S. If anybody's interested I can post Richard Bennett's drivers on
     comp.binaries.a2.
