SCSI partition maps

For some odd reason (no-one can figure out why) the partition
map on my Maxstor 340Mb hard disk got zapped. I'm running a
rev 3 GS, with a 10MHz/64K ZipGS and a rev 3 RAMfast with 1 Mb
of cache. The hard disk has (had?) 11 partitions, mostly 32Mb,
with two smaller ones, one of 26.7Mb and one of about 10Mb.

The problem arose when I was re-installing my Wangtek tape-
drive, after a visit to the engineer after it started to
wind tapes off the end. To re-configure the SCSI-bus, I turned
off the machine, waited, and turned it on again. Various blue
words were spoken when the machine didn't work, until I realised
that it might be a good idea to CONNECT the tape-drive to the bus!

Having done so, the tape appeared in the list of devices, but
somewhere along the line - I can't remember where because I
was getting annoyed - several of the partitions went into limbo.

Using the 'secret' key-combination in the RAMfast control-
panel (Hold the option key and type CVT) and examining the
display reveals that the partition-map now has two entries,
and the remainder are blank.

How it got that way, I don't know. What matters now is to
re-construct the partition-map, and re-connect the 'missing'
partitions. The data should still be there, because I haven't
done anything to disturb the drive since the problem arose,
other than continuing to use the two extant partitions, on the
assumption that they wouldn't write outside their own blocks.

I need a low-level block-editor or disk-zap which can handle
a SCSI volume at the lowest level, below the partitions. Ideally,
it would have some kind of search-facility, so that I can locate
the logical Block 0 of each partition accurately.

Does anyone know of such a utility, and where I might be able to
ftp it from? Even the most basic of tools would help!

I have a major problem and I could use some help with this! And
yes, I KNOW that I should have a backup, but when the blasted TAPE
went down it took the two latest backups with it! The GlitchMaster
really got me this time!
