According to the experts on the net the PowerPC will be able to emulate
a microwave oven. In particular it will run ever piece of machinary, OS, sw,
i/o device, etc...that has ever been made. Then there are those of us who have
used emulation on very fast RISC processors (including IBM's RS6000) and
simply laugh.
However, your question is easy to answer. IBM's PowerPC computers will most
certainly run both a version of AIX and OS/2 ( this is according to IBM and
is not a rumour). Anything to do with Apple's PowerPC at this time is a
rumour.
It is also rumoured that NEXTSTEP will run on some PowerPC based computer.
