                      Usenet and Internet E-Mail Services
                      -----------------------------------

Hello and welcome to all of you out there on the networks (Internet and
FutureNet). As many of you are well aware, Shane Zatezalo (Xevious) and I
(Damin) have been working on bringing Internet E-mail and Usenet service to
the FutureNet for about a year or so now. We have been markedly successful in
our combined efforts and have both developed seperate methods for connecting
these two networks.

For the technically concerned, the method used is via UUCP polling. We collect
our incoming data from a Unix host and distribute it via the FutureNet to our
sister network sites. Conversely, they send their network data to us and we
distribute it to the Internet.

What this means is that we can now distribute Usenet conferences via the
normal FutureNet conferencing system. E-mail can be handled in much the same
way. This opens up a whole new world of flexibilty to the FutureVision BBS
system.

Administrators of FutureNet systems can obtain these new features by following
these 2 steps.

1. Obtain the FV.4.0.xev software from The Atomic Playground (614)-297-7031
   or the METAL FTP Site - ftsp.saic.com /pub/metal/source.
   (FV 4.0.xev is slightly buggy, but functional. Most all of the bugs have
    been found and corrected in the FV4.1 version due out for release in the
    next few months.)

2. Obtain a Network Connection with Damage Incorporated (216)-328-0374.
   This can be accomplished by sending mail to #1@Space_Bar.admin.fnet.org
   and telling him that you would like to connect to Damage Incorporated
   for Internet E-mail and News.

Here is the list of available Usenet feeds from the 4/CONFERENCE.LIST file.
More can be added by simply requesting them from me
(damin@damage.cleve.fnet.org) when your network connection is completely in
place.
