I use it. It is the only program I know of that will do file backups to 
tape on an Apple II. (The RamFAST will do volume backups, but it's very 
cumbersome to restore individual files that way). 

GSTape usually works quite well, and others have praised it highly. I 
happen to have had some major difficulties backing up to my tape drive 
that I don't _think_ are related to GSTape (I think something is awry in 
my SCSI chain), so it's kind of hard for me to say unequivocally that 
it's a great, bug-free piece of software. But it's definitely worth the 
$25 or $35 (forget exactly how much Tim Grams is asking) it costs.

If anyone knows of other tape-backup software for the GS, please let us 
know about it.
