Apple //e emulation for Macintosh?

Dear info-apple:

I have been reading about the Apple //e software emulators for the IBM PCs 
and the Apple //e card for the Macintosh.  I own a Centris 650 and am told 
that the //e card will not work with my machine.  Is this true?  Is there a 
work-a-round?  It seems unusual to me that I haven't found any mention of a 
software emulator for the Macintosh.  Is there one available?  Any help or 
information would be greatly appreciated.
