IIGS Mouse Jitters

I know this was discussed several weeks ago, but the notes have been deleted
from my company's USENET queue.

Last night my IIGS mouse starting acting strange, when I tried to select an
item off the menu bar the bar would flash.  The mouse was also flickering.
This makes using the mouse a little difficult.

I am using 6.01 operating software with 6 megs of memory.  Any help is
appreciated.
