Good point. But: PPC is not an Apple thing. It's an IBM/Motorola thing.
Apple will write an OS for it (or is doing so, to be more precise), and
they will build machines based on it.

But: They won't be alone in that market. I think the way to go is wait
until the clones are out, or some other companies hopped on the PPC
badnwagon, get a nice OS like NeXTStep or Solaris or OSF/1 or whatever
your fancy is, and start computing.

Well, don't. The 486 is OK but a bit out-dated now, and the P5 is too
expensive for the power it offers. Buy a PPC clone (which, in a way,
is sort of an IBM/Motorola/Apple clone I guess :).
