Tape Back-up and //e help needed!

Hello!
 
Few days ago I asked about my new tape-backup device, thanks for the
aswers. I know now that I have a Cipher model 525 CT, which uses 60 MB
DC600A tapes, thanks for all the good answers. Now I only have to know
HOW to use it...
 
My Cipher is connected to my //e with same cable & card as the 10 MB
hard disk. In the back of the huge box is one push button and one
switch, do anybody have a clue what they do?
 
How are the tape backups usually used?
What programs do I need?
