Not a good idea, IMHO. I think the way the Apple HS does it is good ...
have a supervisory driver for the low-level stuff, so anyone can plug
in a driver for their favorite device ... I wish the RF would work
that way :)
If you want to, you can even do a generic driver that claims all the
devices that were "left over" ... but I'm not sure it's a wise move :)
After all, how does the driver know which devices will be claimed and
which won't?
