need help-GS went bonkers

My rom 1 GS has gone bonkers. It will not boot. Here is the details.
The GS is always on, I was doing some work on it when I tried to do
a warm re-boot. It gave me the default reset menu with 4 options.
I tried a three fingered salute and it takes me into the GS self test
even though I do not press the option key. I cannot got out of the 
default reset menu.

Since the computer acted like the option key was stuck, I disconnected
the keyboard cable from the rear of the computer. Nothing changed.
I reseated all of the chips on everything, nothing changed. I removed
all cards from the slots, still nothing changed. Even when I do a cold
power up boot, it goes right into the default reset screen. Pressing 4
to reboot just causes the computer to bong, and go right back to the
default reset screen. 

Any advice, help, suggestions will be very much welcomed..
