SCSI blues
It's me again, I finnaly found a second external SCSI for my Apple IIe And
I got my hands on a copy of Prodos 8 2.0.3 (ftp from ftp.apple.com) I cannot
access the two drives together. Let me give you a run down on my
configuration, and hopefully someone can help me.
My system is an Enhanced Apple ][e, with a ZIP chip installed.
Slot 1 has a serial card (Printer)
Slot 2 has a serial card (Modem)
Slot 3 empty (AUX has 1M ram w/ RGB piggy back /RAM is S3 D2)
Slot 4 Timemaster HO
Slot 5 AE Controller with 1 3.5 drive attached
Slot 6 DISK ][ controller w/ 1 5.25 drive attached
Slot 7 SCSI controller ID-7 40M drive ID-2 49M drive ID-6
ID-2 Partition 1 = 32M Partition 2 = 8M
ID-6 Partition 1 = 32M Partition 2 = 18M
Both drive have termination. The SCSI card looks like below
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
| location for a socket --------------- ------- ---- |
| -------------------- | F | | | | 5| |
| | A | | | | | | 0| |

6-1082073 8915N e1 and e2 are jumpered together. The card has
termination on it.
Separately, I can access both partitions on the drive. The moment I try to
connect and bring up both drive, the system maps ID2 to S7D1 and ID6 to S7D2,
and totaly ignores the second partitions on both drives. I have tried
removing my printer card, my disk ][ controller, I have put the SCSI into
slot 5 and the AE 3.5 controller in slot 7. So far nothing works to get all
4 partitions online at the same time. I personally think it's the SCSI card,
but that is wild guess.
