Up to 30 characters per filename
ALL ASCII characters (including control and lowercase) EXCEPT ',' and 'esc'
restriction: First character must be ASCII code >64
Of course, that doesn't support subdirectories or disk names. But I couldn't
resist the opportunity to talk up my old friend, Uncle DOS!
