Ummm...I think you're forgetting a couple of things:
1.  "Big Beige" abandoned beige about the same time that Big Blue brought out 
their PS/2 line...in beige.

2.  About the time AppleWorks was introduced, Apple also gave up on parallel.  
Consequently, only serial services will be held.  For those of you who are in a
hurry, and find that 8N1/9600 is too slow, you'll just have to hook up to 
LocalTalk at 19200.  Sorry!

Apple is a registered tm. of You-Know-Who.  PS/2 is a registered tm. of those 
other guys.  Big Beige/Big Blue aren't tm's at all.
