VGA monitor with a //e?

Just by chance, does anyone know if a VGA monitor (CTX CMS-1561) can be connected
to a //e with Applied Engineering's RGB video board?  This board comes with the
Transwarp //e and RamWorks III.  I know the monitor works wonderfully with a
powerbook, but, then again, the powerbook has a VGA port.  Also, a review of CTX
monitors (including the CMS-1561) stated that it _would_ support Macintosh
computers.  What is needed?  I remember that an LC had a composite horizontal and
vertical sync wire, while VGA uses separate lines.  Can a person simply tie the
wires together and hope it'll work?
