Transdrives

I just got a Transdrive dual for my PC Transporter and it reads/writes/formats
just fine BUT both of its drives constantly spin whenever the computer's on.
I assume that this isn't normal.  Any suggestions as to how to get the drives
to stop spinning?  (If it matters, I have an Apple 800k drive daisy chained to
it.)
