I'm having problems in loading and getting to work, Print Shop for the
GS and Print Shop Companion onto a hard drive.
I copied the disks files onto an area on the drive.
I then called up Print SHop and it seemed to be working fine.
Exiting out though left me hanging asking
for the pathname for the next application! Not at the FINDER which is
where I expected to be brought back to. Is this the nature of P8
products to do this?
I've tried both the PS.SYSTEM (diamond shape icon) and the PRODOS
(apple shapped icon). When I double-click the PRODOS icon, the screen
goes blue (prodos screen?) announcing PRODOS 2.0.1. Then it changes to
PRODOS 1.8 with an error message that:
**Unable to find a ".SYSTEM" file** Though PS.SYSTEM is RIGHT THERE!!!
It isn't looking in the right place obviously, but I don't know why?
I can run PS by itself if it's the booted disk but it quits to a
"Specify PATHNAME of next appplication"
If I double-click on PS.SYSTEM (diamond shape icon) it goes to the
PRODOS 2.0.1 screen and then an error message;
"Sorry, a system error has occured, ID=1 Press a key to continue"
I press the key and I can return to the FINDER.
Does anyone know what "SYSTEM ERROR ID=1" means?
Other P8 applications (KERMIT, COPYII+) work fine in both starting up
and exiting from and to the FINDER. PS and PS Companion won't do
squat!
What is so different with these??
