To be precise, it includes the following cables:
- Disk drive connector (20-pin female insulation-displacement
connector to DB-19, straight through ribbon cable, about eight inches
in length). It should also including mounting screws for the IIe case.
- Composite video connector (2-pin molex to 4-pin molex, using pins 1
& 2 of the four-pin end; two-wire connection, about eight inches in length).
- Speaker connector (2-pin molex to 2-pin molex, about eight inches in
length).
- Keyboard connector (10-pin female insulation-displacement connector
to adaptor circuit board; about twelve inches of cable; the adaptor
board has two resistors, a female connector for the motherboard
keyboard socket, and a male connector for the IIe keyboard cable).
The circuit board in the latter does NOT provide a direct connection
between the socket and plug for the keyboard - some signals are routed
via the PC Transporter, so it can intercept them. Other signals are
passed to the PCT as well as the IIe.
For comparison, the IIgs installation kit includes the same disk drive
cable, the "colourswitch" board (for changing the RGB output between
IIgs and PCT) and two cables for the colourswitch board. All keyboard
and speaker routing is done in software on the IIgs.
Both installation kits used to include a video showing the
installation process for the PC Transporter.
Another item you can buy separately is the adaptor cable to connect a
genuine PC keyboard (XT-mode) to the PCT. It is about six inches in
length, with a 5-pin molex connector at one end, and a 5-pin DIN
socket at the other end.
