Let's see. Jawaid wanted to know what kind of Floptical drive I have.
It's an Insite mechanism.
Andy Mcfadden suggested that I format and partition the 21 meg disks
from the RAMFast utils. I think I tried this, and it failed to format
successfully.
Someone else wanted to know where I bought it. I kind of struck a
deal with a local shop, as I was buying a CD-ROM drive for my PC at
the same time. BTW, the floptical was packaged for a PC, so I got a
cheap SCSI card in the deal also ($285). There were two drives left;
I MIGHT be able to swing a deal for those IF anyone's interested.
It's an internal drive; I haven't finalized my cables yet (the drive
is sitting on the desk doing nothing at the moment).
I just checked my RAMFast roms, and I have 3.0K - someone give me a
phone number so I can order updated roms....
Seth ---> thes+@cmu.edu It is not enough to watch.
