This sounds like a DRAM refresh problem. Run an extended (refresh)
memory test (the AWGS Claris memory test should do). If refresh is indeed
the problem, it's either a weak power supply, a flaky DRAM (not likely
if the memory is yours), or a bad Mega II chip.
