No, no, no! Many of the trackballs now available for the Mac require device
drivers. I actually tried to use a Silhouette on my IIGS, but ain't no driver
for it. The only trackball I know for absolute certainty will work on a IIGS
is the Kensington TurboMouse Version 3. Version 4 will not work.

Same here. I actually bought a TurboMouse, tried it out for a week, and sent
it back. It was wicked cute, but it was also a pain to use - precision was a
thing of the past. How much of this is me and how much is trackballs, well,
I'm not sure. I don't think I'll try a trackball again; thee's plenty of room
on my computer desk.
