You need the GS, VOC and 2 VCRs or one VCR and one camcorder. The best
type of VCR to use is one with 4 heads or flying erase head. Also, the
camcorder (and most camcorders do have) must have a flying erase head.
You need VCR Companion, an excellent software program with premade
animations, borders, scrolling text, etc. to make your titles and add
special effects. The CamCorder needs to have video and audio (at least
audio dubbing) or you can buy a video/audio mixer for $40 and up that you
can use to dub audio on and add narrations.
Actually the VOC is only really needed to overlay graphics on the video.
Otherwise, you don't really need the VOC, since the GS can be hooked up
directly to a VCR/TV to record the graphics onto videotape.
I work with gifted students grades 9-12 and we are working on a video
yearbook. We've done pradies of commercials, taped a film for Rush
Limbaugh and other fun things.
