I had that problem when I installed a CV Tech GS Memory board with my 1 meg
Apple board piggybacked.  Seems that It only did it when I put the lid back
on my GS.  Turns out the RAM card was touching the metal on the lid and
shorting out.

(Hmmmmm....can't remember if I had the RamFast card in slot 7, too.)

All I know is that I took a shirtbox, (like you put a shirt in to wrap
as a gift), and cut out a piece the size of the board.  In fact, I did three.
Placed on between the RamFast card and the GS memory card, one between the
GS Memory card and the Apple card piggybacked, and one between the Apple
card and the side of the 'puter.  No problems since! (Checkerboards Suck!)
