I think you are confused :) What you have probably read is that the
max RAM memory size that you can DMA to w/o special tricks is 4MB.
The max RAM memory size you can use on the GS (and DMA to with tricks :)
is 8MB, which should be enough for about anything  we do right now on
this machine. If you have something that needs more than 8MB of
RAM, you should seriously consider using a machine that also has more
horsepower behind it :)
