"Not necessary"? Good heavens. While it is true that with what little load
we usually have on the bus, a SCSI terminator can be left out, it's
not a good idea. Note that most drives already do come with their terminators,
but an external one makes it easier to rearrange the order of devices in
the chain, and to add/remove devices.
If you do not terminate your SCSI bus properly, you have a problem that is
waiting to pop up. Not nice at all.
