Another possibility is that you have to have the system speed (or at least the
slot speed if you're running an accelerator) set to "Normal."  I remember that
the GS/OS V5 book said this about the system speed, and I have no idea what if
anything was done in System 6 to work around this Unidisk limitation.  Unidisk
does want a 4:1 interleave, according to ZZCopy.
