I'm not sure either, but I think the "M=00" is what was contained at
memory address $205A.  (Which is the BRK command.)

What this sounds like is one of three things:

1. The power supply is having problems with the added burden of
   running the 3.5" disk drive.

2. You may need to open up the //c and clean the inside.  If enough
   dust has accumulated, then you could be having a short somewhere.

3. Try disconnecting and then reconnecting the 3.5" disk drive.
   Sometimes the cable doesn't make a good connection.
