It is similar to TypeWest. It patches font menus and shows the font
names in their real face. I *think* TypeWest lets you group fonts (or
something like that), and with a good reason. Having installed more than
70 fonts, I have turned off that feature immediately :)
BUT, there are two other functions in SMP! One is a chart of all
characters that pops up when you press in a corner of the menu bar. Then
simply click a character, and the selected one will be inserted wherever
you are. You can even concatenate longer strings.
The third option changes the Control Panel NDA to a hierarchical menu.
You'll never have to open the Control Panel and then select a CDev -
just choose the corresponding menu item.
The latter two features are really great, the first one as well provided
that you do not have too many fonts.
