Zoom modems

I have a catalog from MicroWarehouse in which is a Zoom 14.4 Fax/Data modem
for $189.95.  I was wondering if Zoom modems are reliable and if this was a
decent price.  It's the cheapest I've seen around my neck of the woods.  Also,
what cable do I need?  I have a Q-Modem 2400 modem right now with the standard
cable hooked to my GS.  I know fax software isn't available now, but will it
implemented sometime soon?  Any information would be GREATLY appreciated.
