This seems to be built into 6.0.1; I found that whenever I do a Save As...
from any desktop application, the system opens my boot volume's top directory.
I'm told that the way to work around this stupid regression in functionality
is to buy Kangaroo.  Kangaroo is a great utility, no question, but I don't like
the idea of having so shell out $40 or so to fix Apple's stupidity.
