What both of you need is a Pagesus housing.  $200 from Econ Technologies.
It replaces your exosting IIGS power supply with one somewhere between the
stock ps and the heavy-duty ps.  Inside the housing the ps only takes up
1/4 the space, so the rest is reserved for a 3.5" drive mechanism.  Take
any 3.5" drive, plop it in the housing, connect the cables in the housing,
set the SCSI ID and other DIPs on the outside of the housing, connect
your cabling to your SCSI card, and you're ready to go.  No pseudo-
portability for your GS, with a Pegasus you get _real_ portability.  And
It's better than a hardcard because you can easily swap another drive
in/out of the housing, chain any other SCSI device, and can carry it
from place to place or turn the GS on it's side.  Highly recommended,
and comes with Universe Master software.  Have a problem, you get to talk to
the President/Chief Engineer of the company himself.  I can't emphasize
in ASCII how great the Pegasus and Econ people are!
