     |ry using $0103 for the aux type of your 5.25" driver file.  The
 last digit tells the system how many devices that driver can support. 
 After a whole lot of testing and verification on GEnie, we found that
 for some reason some people's systems were giving GS/OS just enough
 spurious information that it thought there were another two 5.25"
 drives somewhere, but not enough for it to show them as accessable
 devices.  By telling GS/OS that your 5.25" driver can handle three
 drives, it fills in the first two positions with the spurious info
 (which is why setting it to $0101 would make ALL your 5.25" drives
 disappear), and then your existing drive fills in the third position.
 If that STILL doesn't work, keep trying odd numbers for the last
 digit of the aux type until you're back to $010E.  This odd "phantom"
 drives problem was experienced both by people who had their 5.25"
 drive connected to the SmartPort, and by people who used 5.25" drive
 controller cards, so it wasn't due to that hardware difference.
