Binscii problem

I have been having a problem running programs from comp.sys.apple2.binaries
that the FAQ says are 'Binscii'd' (FiLeStArTfIlEsTaRt - etc.) through BINSCII.

I have a //c running ProDOS 8 v2.0.1. I run Binscii, provide the data asked
for & ALWAYS get a 'file not found'. I have even initialized disks with 1
letter paths so it isn't typos. This is very frustrating! I have been
unable to convert even ONE program out of 'Binscii' format - I never make it
to Shrinkit.

My Binscii doesn't 'crash' or anything - it just doesn't seem to do a damn
thing.

HELP!
