Setting Prodos file types--answers

Thanks to everyone who posted and emailed answers to my Prodos questions. 
The easiest solution turned out to be to use Apple File Exchange, slow as
it is, on my Mac, forcing it to do a text translation, Mac --> Prodos. 
After that, BINSCII had no problems.
