pt3.1--worth upgrading?

I'm using pt3.0 right now.  I've test-driven the demo and it doesn't seem much
better than what I've got.  Of course, I get frustrated easily with all the
options disabled ad having to re-configure mach time I use the damned thing.
 
Are any of you using pt3.1?  Would you recommend buying/upgrading to it from
3.0?  I really don't have money to throw around.
 
Using the demo, incoming text was still eaten up when I went into the editor or
scrollback, or used a disk command.  Is this fixed in the registered 3.1?  Any
help would be appreciated.  Please respond privately, as I don't read the
Usenet often.
 
I'm also interesting in trading old 8bit RPG games, especially those in the
WASTELAND vein.  Thanks bunches.
