Mine had that problem.  Got really, REALLY flakey until I found out the
problem from comp.sys.apple2: the connector is held in place only by
solder.  So I took it to the campus computer store for repair, and they
wanted to charge me a huge amount of money just to determine the
problem.  As I already knew the problem, I asked if I could get the
problem I've already diagnosed repaired, bypassing the inspection.  They
were apparently confused by this, so I got them to give the actual
repair person a call.  A quick trip got me my keyboard fixed for a
couple dollars.

Now I'm very protective of those ports on the keyboard, as well as the
keyboard as a whole.  Really wish Apple made that split keyboard with
the II key layout, as I may need it soon.
