Well, I've got the same setup... 'cept I've got 8 megs of RAM, a 9/64 Zip and 
4 partitions.  Same drive as you and same Ramfast, Rev D, 3.00l ROM.  Have
had no problems with it hardware wise.

Setup is:

S7,1  Boot part        S7,2  part 1
S6,1  Disk port        S6,2  Disk port
S5,1  Smartport        S5,2  Smartport
S4,1  part2            S4,3  part 3

Etc...

Sounds like you might have a problem with your Ramfast

I also have DMA on, Transwarp off, Lookahead Auto.
