It stands for "Pretty Good Protection".  It's a method of public-key
encryption that's very popular; with public key encryption, anyone
can know your public key and use it to send you encrypted mail ...
but you can only decode it using your private key.  (It's asymmetrical.)

Someone was talking about porting this about six months back (I don't
recall off hand who it was).  I don't know its status, but I think he
was planning on porting it for the Orca/Gno environ, which kind of
implies IIgs only (sorry 'bout that).
